Hope and Support for Our IVF Journey

For years, I’ve stayed quiet about just how difficult our fertility journey has been, but after everything we’ve endured, I’m finally ready to share our story.

Since 2019, we have been fighting for the chance to grow our family. Behind the scenes has been years of doctor appointments, surgeries, medications, losses, heartbreak, and constant physical pain that most people never saw.

I’ve undergone 8 surgeries for stage 4 endometriosis, a disease that has caused severe damage, chronic pain, and infertility. I’ve done multiple rounds of Lupron, several rounds of Clomid, countless medications and supplements, multiple HSG tests, and every recommendation doctors gave us in hopes of conceiving naturally. We’ve seen fertility specialists and spent years trying to hold onto hope.

Along the way, we experienced multiple losses, including chemical pregnancies that broke our hearts over and over again. Then in February 2024, I became pregnant again, only for it to turn into an ectopic pregnancy that nearly took my life. My tube ruptured, resulting in emergency surgery and the loss of one fallopian tube.

After more surgeries and continued fertility treatment, we were ultimately told our only remaining option to have another child is IVF. Recently, I underwent surgery to remove my remaining tube due to the extensive damage from endometriosis, meaning natural pregnancy is no longer possible.

This decision has been one of the hardest things I’ve ever faced emotionally and physically. Coming to terms with the reality that IVF is now our only path to having another baby has been heartbreaking, but we are trying to hold onto hope.

We now have a limited window to begin IVF treatment by September in order to avoid repeating the extensive testing and procedures we’ve already completed. The baseline cost just to begin treatment is $6,450, but that number is only the starting point. It does not include the frequent monitoring appointments with local clinics, travel expenses to Colorado for procedures and treatment, medications, time away from work, or the reality that if the first round does not work, we will immediately face the cost of another round all over again.

After two IVF rounds, doctors have heavily advised that I stop trying altogether and move forward with a full hysterectomy due to the severity of my endometriosis and ongoing health concerns. Knowing this may be our final opportunity to try for another baby carries a weight that is impossible to fully explain.

If you know me personally, you know how hard it is for me to ask for help. But after years of fighting, surviving, and refusing to give up, I’m asking for support as we take this next step in our journey.

Whether you donate, share this fundraiser, or simply keep us in your prayers, it means more than I could ever put into words. Thank you for taking the time to read our story, for supporting us, and for reminding us we are not alone in this fight. ❤️
