Hello, I'm in need of any help that anyone can give at this point. My name is Alison. My dads name is Dan. I am a mother of two, I work full time and I am now my dads caretaker. My dad cannot work because of the health problems that have occured in the past couple months. I was out of work for a lot caring for him. He has his own place, own car, own everything. Im just trying to keep it that way for him before he loses all he has left. We are behind on everything. Rent, electricity, car insurance, car payment, water, phone, crazy expensive hospital bills, etc...
I feel horrible for reaching out to the public but at this time I cant pay the bills myself anymore. And no public assistance will help me. Thank you ahead of time for any help you can give. It means the world to me.
Last month my dads abdominal aortic aneurysm ruptured. I rushed him to the hospital and he had to get emergency surgery to repair the problem. He now has 2 stints put in to correct it. He was discharged but wasnt doing too well.
Two weeks later I rush him back to the hospital because he had the whole list of symptoms you shouldnt have after a major surgery. He was admitted and within a couple days had a colonoscopy done. The results came back that he has salmonella of the blood. That means he has to stay in the hospital for 6-8 weeks for IV antibiotics. (CRAZY right!? ) They did every test imaginable to try to understand his unexplained severe stomach pain.
He ended up having a minor heart attack one night. They ended up doing a heart catheterization and find out that he has 3 blockages in his heart. 90%, 80% and 50%. The following day he had triple bypass open heart surgery.
He is still in the hospital now and will be for a few more weeks.
He is the best man I know. Im doing as much as I can to make sure everything is taken care of for him but money really doesnt grow on trees...just like hes always told me.
