On February 20th, 2015, Jim was diagnosed with adenoid cystic carcinoma. Normally this type of cancer is slow growing and treatable.  However, in young men Jim's age it is very aggressive and unresponsive to chemotherapy.  Jim endured six months of various treatments including chemotherapy and radiation to the brain, scalp, eye, trachea and spine, 
In the middle of August 2015, after consulting with specialists in the field, Jim decided with the support of his family and his doctors to cease chemotherapy and spend the rest of his time with his family managing his symptoms at home.  Jim passsed away on August 28, 2015 with his family at his side.
Jim had a quiet strength and a goofy sense of humor that everyone around him appreciated and admired.  More than anything, Jim valued his family and worked very hard his whole life to take care of them.  His time with his family was cut too short.   Any amount  that you are able to donate would be greatly appreciated and used to continue the path that he wanted for his daughters' future.
