She is my sister Gabriela Zapata Ramia and she is hospitalized at the “Centro Medico San Bernardino” in Caracas, Venezuela. After 3 months of research and misdiagnosis, it is discovered that our dear Gabriela suffers from a fungal disease that is acquired by inhalation, attacking the lymphatic and immune system, called PARACOCCIDIOIDOMYCOSIS. It is a disease that can be contracted in some Latin American countries and in Venezuela there are very few cases. For this reason, the team of the Medical Center of Caracas that attends it, consulted with several immunologists from different countries, to agree on the most appropriate treatment according to the characteristics it presents. It will be a long process and requires extremely expensive medications and tests that are difficult to find in Venezuela. Gabriela has no medical insurance to support her and her family and friends have contributed to the best of their ability. Unfortunately, after two weeks of hospitalization and treatment, we are in need of requesting this type of collaboration to be able to continue the treatment, because as a result of this terrible disease, the health condition has presented serious complications. The complete treatment lasts one year and we need to collect $ 25,000.00 to cover the first part. Luego de 3 meses de investigación y de diagnósticos errados, se descubre que nuestra querida Gabriela padece de una enfermedad micótica que se adquiere por inhalación, atacando el sistema linfático e inmunológico, llamada PARACOCCIDIOIDOMICOSIS . Esta enfermedad se puede contraer en algunos países latinoamericanos y en Venezuela son muy pocos los casos. Por tal motivo, el equipo del Centro Medico de Caracas que la atiende,consultó con varios inmunólogos de distintos países, para acordar el tratamiento más adecuado de acuerdo a las características que presenta. Es un proceso largo y requiere de medicamentos y exámenes sumamente costosos y difíciles de encontrar en Venezuela. Gabriela no cuenta con un seguro médico que la respalde y sus familiares y amigos hemos aportado en la medida de nuestras posibilidades. Lamentablemente después de dos semanas de hospitalización y tratamiento nos vemos en la necesidad de solicitar esta tipo de colaboración para poder continuar su tratamiento , pues a consecuencia de esta terrible enfermedad su cuadro de salud ha presentando serias complicaciones. El tratamiento completo dura un año y necesitamos recolectar $25.000,00 para cubrir la primera etapa . En tal sentido solicitamos cualquier tipo de colaboración, por mas pequeña que sea.
