Lombok Earthquake

Sunday August 5th the nothern region of Lombok and the Gili Islands was hit with their second large earthquake in a week. This 7.0 earthquake has left significant damages all throughout the region. 

I have lived on Gili Air for 4 years and still have a strong connection with the island as well as many friends and former colleagues that still live and work in the area. 

The people that live in this region normally make a wage that is sufficient to provide in their day to day living costs, many live in a home that is built for generations to live in. The costs of building a new home are for many people simply too great.
Getting information from the source, I understood that one of the best ways to support the people of Lombok and the Gili Islands is to transfer money to the Endri Foundation. A foundation that normally cares for the lesser fortunate children of Lombok, but at the moment is dedicated to helping the victims of the earthquake. The proceedings of the fundraiser will therefore be transferred to this foundation for they will know best where the money is of most use.
