My aunt, who is like a mom to my siblings and me was diagnosed with Stage 4 gastrointestinal cancer. A little bit of the story... the first week of July she said her kidneys were hurting. She went to the doctor and he said she had kidney stones and gave her medication and sent her in her way. On July 17th her pain became so bad that my mom took her to the hospital. They did a ct scan and they found a mass in the stomach. They doctor said that her lymph nodes were inflamed and that it is probably cancer and has metastasized. After a few days she went home. Maybe a week or so later she couldn’t walk because of the pain so my mom brought her back to the hospital and they ran tests and told us she has stage 4 gastrointestinal cancer. They admitted her put a port so she would start chemo and sent her on her way home a week later. Two days after being released, she was back at the hospital and the doctors told us that we could do chemo but it wasn’t going to help and probably get her more sick. So we decided to not do chemo. She’s been in the hospital exactly one week now and is on hospice care. They doctors are making her as comfortable as possible and we are here with her. We know that the time is near as she keeps deteriorating a little more everyday. I am asking you to please share or donate to her funeral expense. If you know her, you know she is a loving, selfless woman. She along with my mom are my dads caretakers. She lived with us my entire life and helped raise us. She doesn’t deserve to go this way but we can’t do much but give her a proper funeral.
