Help Tara get her smile back

Donation protected
Hi, my name is Tara and I smashed my three front teeth out in a roller skating accident...

Running an online fundraiser for myself isn't something that I like doing and I struggled for a long time with the decision to post this. If you are struggling to make ends meet financially, please don't donate, take care of yourself. I'm opening this up just in case anyone wants to contribute, because it's just worth a shot... I've hidden behind a "tough girl" persona through all of this, but in reality, this entire time I have been uncomfortable, managing pain, and have bouts of being incredibley self-concious. I don't feel like myself... Anywhoo, here's the backstory:

About a month ago, I faceplanted on a metal ramp that was getting slick from rain. The impact crushed/impacted three of my teeth into my upper jaw and tooth shards had to be dug out of my lower lip. Stupid, right? Yeah, I know. That's why I didn't even want to ask for help. But, I learned the hard way that this medical emergency and all the surgeries that come with it are not fully covered by my insurance. I recieved emergency surgery to have my teeth removed the next day and paid over $2,000 out of pocket between the surgery and the ER visit the night before. Despite trying to negotiate with the insurance companies, no help was offered.

I've been working hard to heal quickly, including adopting a high nutrience diet. I'm told it will take 4-6 months to heal before I can begin the process of getting implants. I declined a temporary flipper/bridge in the meantime because of the expense ($300-$500 is ridiculous for something so temporary IMO). I can deal with the lisp and spit talking for a bit longer... Instead I am saving dollars to put toward the permenent implants, which will end up costing $1,000 per tooth if not more. That's $3,000 plus office charges, X-rays, and whatever else they need to charge me for. I'm guessing the implants may cost be upwards of $5k total. So, I'm (very awkwardly) reaching out for help from my friends, family and skate community.

Rest assured, once the implants are complete, my best friend already bought me a new mouthguard to protect the investment (and my smile). I greatly appreciate any help, but like I said, if you are struggling, please don't donate. I don't want to be a burden on anyone else.

update: after getting more opinions and cost estimates, the final quotes are in. Phase 1 for 2023 and Phase 2 for 2024.
