#ZStrong Fighting Stage 4 Gastro-Esophageal Cancer

To our Friends, Family, and Prayer Warriors,

I am organizing this Go Fund Me on behalf of our beloved Zoilo Torres, better known as “Z”.

On March 5th, 2025, Z had an Endoscopy due to not being able to swallow foods and intense back pain. After the procedure he was diagnosed with Adenocarcinoma Esophageal Cancer and during the past weeks has undergone several scans and tests to clarify the severity.

It is with a heavy heart I share with you the update and the results have shown he has Metastatic Gastro-Esophageal Cancer. This diagnosis is Stage 4 Cancer due to the malignancy spreading to his Paratracheal Lymph Nodes as well as his Vertebrae.

Z has started his first round of aggressive chemotherapy which consists of weekly treatments forcing him to spend one full day in the cancer center and 46 hours of home therapy with a pump. This is just the first phase of this long battle to rid him of this cancer.

If you know “Z”, you know he is an amazing and devoted family man who has spent his life working hard to provide for those he loves. Since the onset of his cancer he has experienced severe pain, difficulty eating, and the inability to work causing him to face a mental battle on what the future holds for him and the immediate family. In addition to the physical toll, the cost of treatments are not fully covered by his medical insurance and with “Z’s” inability to work, the financial burdens are quickly becoming overwhelming.

“Z” and I have made a promise to each other to never give up on this fight and with your prayers and God’s favor we will be victorious. We thank you for your healing thoughts and prayers while we move forward in this journey.
