National History Day

I'm Alan Rivera-Rodriguez and I qualified for the National Competition for National History Day at the University of Maryland, College Park. I need to raise $2,355 to get to Washington, D.C. This money will cover flights, hotel, and food for my Aunt and I for the duration of the competition.

This year's NHD theme is "Taking a Stand in History" so I chose Cesar Chavez who took a stand for farm workers. As the grandson of a migrant worker, I was inspired by Cesar Chavez and his lifetime of dedication to those who had no voice. ¡Si se puede!
