Help Rebuild Thornton District, St. Elizabeth After Hurricane Melissa Destroyed My Uncle/Cousins and the Community Homes.

On October 28, 2025, Hurricane Melissa, a Category 5 storm with winds reaching 185 mph, made landfall in Jamaica, causing catastrophic destruction. Among the hardest-hit areas was Thornton District in St. Elizabeth Parish. Families have lost everything—homes, school supplies, churches, and vital infrastructure have been washed away by torrential rains and landslides.

We are raising funds to support the immediate and long-term recovery of this resilient community. Your donation will help provide emergency relief supplies, including food, clean water, clothing, and medical aid. Additionally, it will assist in temporary shelter and housing repairs.

Thornton District is a vibrant rural community known for its warmth, culture, and agricultural contributions. Today, my family and other families are displaced, roads are impassable, and access to basic necessities is limited. Local rescue teams are doing their best, but they need our help to restore hope and rebuild lives.
