Late Monday night 8/29 my dog Momo began acting very strange, her energy level was low and she was refusing to eat or drink much water. In the morning her condition got worse and I knew she needed emergency care. Momo was diagnosed with Immune-mediated hemolytic anemia, this means that her immune system has begun to attack and destroy her red blood cells. I was able to catch this early however the diagnosis is a bit unpredictable. There is no way of knowing how long she will need to be treated for this, she may even require blood transfusions in the near future. I know this is a difficult time for all of us and publicly asking for help is very out of character for me but anything would help. All of the money donated will be going towards Momo’s outstanding medical bill ($1739) and anything over that amount will be used for follow up appointments and medications she will need.
