Hi my name is Lisa. My little Yorkshire Terrier (Tia) has ruptured the cruciate ligament in both of her legs. Xrays showed that both of her knees are dislocated too and this has probably been the case since birth; the cruciate ligaments were keeping the knees in place. This means she’s unable to stand on her back legs. At the moment I am having to keep her on strong painkillers every 8 hours and support her in the garden to go to the toilet.
She is insured but most of that has gone on the blood tests and X-rays.
I have been quoted £3250 for just one leg but she needs both operated on.
She has to have hydrotherapy while we are waiting for the vet to operate so her muscles don’t waste away.
Please help if you can. It would be very much appreciated.
I have two Yorkies and both are so important to me because I live on my own. When my mum passed away and my daughter left for university they became my only source of company. They are lively and mobile and keep me active too.
Any funds I receive from this Go Fund Me page will all go towards the veterinary bills to fix her legs.
