Friends,

Earlier this week our friend Isaac's young wife Shalesa suffered a major stroke. While we remain hopeful, and without getting into too many details, the situation is very, very serious. Shalesa remains in intensive care at Harborview Medical Center. She is just 25.

Isaac and Shalesa have two children together, Jorge and Angelina (aged 7 and 6, respectively), and I am hoping to appeal to our community to help this family in the face of tragedy.

I've known Isaac through his employment at Firenze Restaurante, where he and his family are a part of Salvatore's extended Firenze family. As are many of us.

While insurance covers some of the medical cost, the impact to a young family of such an event befalling their working mother is inestimable.

Simply put, Isaac, Shalesa, Jorge and Angelina are good people, they are a part of our community, and they need help.  Please consider a donation of any amount.
