Hello all! Some of you know that a few weeks ago, Cindy went to the ER in the middle of the night due to back pain. At the time, doctors thought it could be a pinched nerve or slipped disc. However after ordering an MRI, they discovered multiple lesions on her spine & a mass on her kidney. She was transported by ambulance to St. Louis for a 3 week hospital stay.....including more MRI's, lots of blood work and tests, & 2 surgeries.

When pathology came back, we received the difficult news that Cindy has been diagnosed with Stage 4 renal cancer. The path ahead includes radiation treatments in St. Louis, along with immunotherapy treatments in Cape Girardeau every 6 weeks.

Right now, the focus is on battling & beating cancer. As with any unexpected diagnosis, it often can come with financial stress. While insurance is processing, we wish to help by easing some of this burden. Funds raised here will be used toward travel expenses to hospitals for treatment, hotel stays, medical bills, food on the road, and lost income due to time off of work for both Rodney & Cindy.
