Elizabeth Kristie Gavarrete

As some of you may know, my sister and best friend Kristie was diagnosed with stage 3 ovarian cancer less than 2 months ago. Unfortunately, she lost that battle this past Sunday September 4th. She fought long and hard til the very end, holding on for those that love her but her heart was unable to withstand the physical fight. To say she was strong is an understatement.

Kristie was such a kind, loving and genuine person. So much so that several nurses involved in her care would come in to see and visit her from other floors. That's just how special and incredible Kristie was, and will continue to be so in our hearts and memories. She was an amazing mother, daughter, sister, wife, cousin, and friend. She leaves behind a loving family and an incredible 17-year-old daughter Samantha, who just started her senior year of high school.

We are all devastated by Kristie’s sudden death and want to put together the money to give her the service she deserves. Additionally, we want to ensure Samantha is taken care of as she was raised by her single mother and needs all the support she can get as she finishes high school.
