Help Wendel get to the Jr. Tour of Ireland!

Hello, my name is Wendel Bauer and I'm a junior cyclist from Santa Rosa, CA, currently racing for Team California. I've been riding since I was 2 and racing for about 5 years. While I started racing mountain bikes, I pretty quickly moved on to cyclocross, gravel and road racing. Over the past year, I've had the opportunity to compete in a couple of national-level races, most recently at the Valley of the Sun Stage Race, placing 12th out of 97 in the 17/18-year-old Junior Men's road race. Last year, while racing locally for Sycip/Devout, I won the Best All Around Rider award for the Men's Cat 4 Northern California/Nevada Cycling Association and, at the time of writing this, I am currently this year's leader in the Men's Cat 3 although I won't likely win it as I've just upgraded to Cat 2. I am also currently standing at #16 in the 17/18 Jr. Men's category of the 2025 USA Juniors Cup.

Why am I telling you all of this? Because, this summer, I have the incredible opportunity to participate in the Jr. Tour of Ireland with Team California. The Tour of Ireland is a 6-stage road race consisting of over 350 miles and 16,000 feet of climbing, against some of the top junior cyclists competing internationally. The races will follow a week-long team camp in Bunratty to help us acclimate to international racing along with some downtime to get to know the town and people (and castles!)

While this is a super exciting opportunity, it's also financially daunting. So, I am asking for your help in sponsoring an aspiring junior racer! For your incredibly generous donation, you will get what I'm certain will be riveting, behind-the-scenes, action-packed travel posts, and who knows, if we're all lucky, someday you may be able to say, "I knew him when..." ;)
