My name is Cari. I'm the oldest daughter of Gerald Wyatt. As I'm sure you've heard by now, on August 17, Gerald went home to Heaven.
This was the 5th time that Gerald had battled cancer. And, if the medical people could find it, I'm sure he would've kicked butt this time as well.
His whole life was dedicated to helping people find the Lord. He traveled to places to help the people there have a safer and healthier community. But, mainly so he could share his story and his Faith and the Bible. And he did this everywhere he went, always taking the time to just say hi to someone or actually sit and pray with them. This man was the center of our universe: his wife, Denise, 3 daughters, and a son. Losing him has been just a sucker punch to our souls. But, as the days go by, we're learning what comes next. And, what comes next is bills: end-of-life arrangements, doctor bills, memorial service planning. Gerald did not have life insurance. Maybe he thought he'd live forever like his children were convinced. In any case, that leaves his wife and son (who is chronically ill and requires some help at home) living in their home, with one less income.
So, I'm here asking for any help anyone can give us to get through these terribly, emotionally difficult, and unexpected final financial necessities.
This will also help the family put together some sort of memorial for themselves, but mostly for so many of the lives that this incredible man touched.
