Associazione Horizonte Italia-Brasile

We are Felice and Gerry (using Felice's mothers email account because we are both currently underage), both studying in Milan currently following the IB curriculum. For our CAS project (Creativity Activity and Service) we decided to create this GoFundMe in support of Associazione Horizonte Italia - Brasile founded by Barbara Barone Silvestri (a family friend). This association established an infrastructure dedicated to the purpose of hosting and educating children from 0-5 years old who grow up in the favelas with fewer opportunities. This infrastructure is located in Paripueira-Alagoas, northeastern region of Brazil. We found great inspiration in this cause due to the fact that this association not only helps with schooling in Brazil, but also feeds lunch and dinner to the less fortunate children and hosts them during the day from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Our aim is to provide a donation of 3000 Euros to this association in order to contribute to maintenance costs, food and supply, and education opportunities. We want to take a step further into creating educational opportunities for less fortunate children and increase schooling rates in Brazil, and ensure that each child receives proper nutrition and can learn in a safe and nurturing environment.
