Support a Grieving Mother: Help Lay Mario Mason to Rest

We are devastated to share the tragic news that Mario Mason, a beloved son, father, grandson, and friend, was found deceased on Monday May 12, 2025, while in custody at the Oklahoma County Detention Center.

This fundraising effort is being created on behalf of his mother, Cicley Mason, who is now facing the unimaginable pain of planning her son’s funeral.

Mario was only 26 years old. He had so much more life to live. Known for his big heart, his warm smile, and his unwavering love for his young son, Mario was a bright light in the lives of many. He was wrongfully convicted and awaiting justice—but now, his voice has been silenced.

Instead of welcoming her son home, Cicley is now preparing to lay him to rest. No mother is ever ready for this. No mother should ever have to bury her child.

We are asking for your help during this time of deep sorrow. Funeral expenses are costly, and Cicley cannot do this alone. Your donation will go directly toward funeral and burial costs, and to support the care of Mario’s son, who is left behind with a heavy heart.
