Matt's medical fund

I would like to first say that this is the hardest decision I've had to make in the last ten days. I have never been comfortable asking for help, in any way, whatsoever. So it is with courage that I proceed in telling you all briefly what has happened. On the morning of March 7,2017 I fell from and onto a ladder and shattered my calcaneous (heel bone). I spent 5 days on the trauma floor at MUSC, with a total of 3 surgeries to clean this very bad wound. They require pics here, and I apologize in advance for the ghastliness of it all. The lead surgeon, Dr. Hartsock at MUSC looked very sternly as he told me of the severity and reconstructive/healing of this type of injury. This will require immobilization and no weight beared on my left foot for an undetermined amount of months, coupled with a minimum of two surgeries, depending on the conditions and what is agreed best for the total picture. Needless to say, I'm not going to be able to work for a number of months, and I have no insurance either. Thank God for MUSC and their entire staff and program, I know I have recieved the best care and am grateful beyond words. Now back to the original state of purpose here, again, go fund me asked me to put up a goal amount. It is so hard for me to do this, let alone ask for a certain amount, so my daughter said 10 k after we had discussed my normal cash to survive on every month. Granted, this amount is not for one month, but 6 months. I am going to be down work wise for at least that long, and I have simple normal bills to get by on every month for things like rent, car ins., cell phone, food, etc. So any help at all will be greatly appreciated.
