Hi, my name is Jodie. I’ve started this gofundme to help my sister in law, Krissy, raise some money for weight loss surgery.
Krissy is 41 years old and has recently been told she has some issues with her back, including degeneration in some of her disks. There is also an issue where some of the degeneration is affecting the nerves in her legs. When Krissy walks, the nerves are sometimes hit and it’s causing her leg or both legs to go numb.
Something that will really help ease the pain for Krissy is losing weight. Krissy also suffers with severe anxiety and some of the medication she is on makes weight loss hard. Krissy has struggled with weight issues most of her life and has tried many different things, including Jenny Craig, Weight Watchers and a number of other avenues.
It took quite a bit of convincing for Krissy to agree to me setting up this page as she is a strong woman who has always worked hard to raise her 3 beautiful daughters. Krissy has many people who want to help her but we are all limited in the way we can. We are hoping to raise enough for Krissy to pay for the surgery and help her on her way to easing the pain, her high blood pressure and her struggle with her weight. We need to raise enough to cover the pre admission fees and plan to donate any money Krissy may receive back to her favourite charities. They are ACCF (Australian Cervical Cancer Foundation) and Autism Spectrum Australia. The reason she chose these charities is Krissy had her own battle with Cervical Cancer last year and will need to be monitored for the rest of her life. Krissy also has friends whose children are on the Autism Spectrum so wants to be able to help them too.
