Lonzell Davis Funeral Fund

Lonzell Davis was standing on the side of the road when he was struck by a vehicle traveling the wrong direction down a one-way street.

The accident happened just after 4 p.m. at 34th Street and Prospect Avenue. Four other people, including the driver of the vehicle that struck Lonzell, were taken to hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries.

The impact of the crash caused the Impala to rotate and collide into Lonzell, who was standing on the west side of the intersection. Lonzell was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Our family is grieving for our beloved Lonzell- a man who loved God which was very apparent by those who knew him personally, as well as his facebook page...even his cell phone that was on him when he was taken to the hospital contained uplifting, positive messages to others.  Unfortunely, his grieving mother (who lost her other son to a car accident about 15 years ago) is now trying to figure out how to pay for and arrange for his burial and funeral.  We are asking our friends, our brothers and sisters in Christ, our community- please help us bury Lonzell...please share in this burden and allow his mother to grieve the tragic loss of her remaining child.  Any amount will help if we all just band together and do what we can.  A family is hurting and it is our chance to help them feel the love of Jesus through each and every donation.  Encouraging messages are also welcome and would be most appreciated.  God bless you!
