Reconstructive Jaw Surgery

Hello everyone!
Last year, I was diagnosed with Obstructive Sleep Apnea. For those of you who don’t know what sleep apnea is, it’s where my airway is being blocked not allowing me to breathe properly, especially when I sleep. My jaw needs to be broken and repositioned as it is causing the blockage. I tried a CPAP for a long time before we figured out it was a fail. I then switched to a BIPAP and it has partially helped me to be able to sleep at night. This diagnosis has been disrupting my life.
I am a full-time student and work full-time. I can barely function on 8 hours of sleep. which means that I have to make sure I’m in bed on time to be able to function the next day. But it's really hard as I wake up tired, and just get more tired throughout the day.
It’s hard to be social, stay focused in school and do my daily duties such as appointments, work around the house and homework because of this.
The position of my jaw has caused the sleep apnea and has contributed to me grinding my teeth. I have almost no enamel left. It has caused my TMJ, and a lot of pain in my mouth. Most days it hurts to eat, smile and talk. It also contributes to my frequent headaches and migraines. Putting my jaw in the correct position would not only cure my sleep apnea, it would help straighten out all these other symptoms also.
Reconstructive jaw surgery will fix my sleep apnea and allow me to function back to normalcy.
Unfortunately, my insurance does not want to cover my procedure. As a college kid working full-time, I do not have the funds to be able to save as much as I’d like for this procedure. I am reaching out for some help to get this surgery done. This diagnosis has hindered my life and I no longer want to feel like this.
As stated above, I am reaching out for help to get this surgery done. Any amount would be a tremendous help! Thank you for the love and support from those who have known about this have shown me! Thank you in advance for any help that anyone has to offer! ❤️
Lots of love,
Tana Garcia
