Hey everyone. Recently my mom Heather was vacationing in Arizona and she collapsed in pain. She has a life threatening  bowel obstruction and possible gangrene and needs emergency surgery asap. Unfortunately, she thought she's had  insurance but does not so her stay in the hospital is quickly adding up. One day (24hrs) has already cost her $15,000 and that's without the surgery. Since the recovery time in hospital for the surgery she needs can be up to 7+ days, the lack of insurance and the fact she is all alone down there we are trying to get get air lifted to Vancouver. The cost of her travel is $9,700. I hate asking for donations but this is a lot for my mom to take on after the year she has been through with Todds passing. She will be out of work for quite sometime and because she is a casual at work she doesn't have extended medical.
