Help Bean

This is Bean.

We bottle-fed her as a kitten, raised her from just a few weeks old with so much love, care, and cuddles. Bean isn’t just a cat — she’s family. She’s our baby, our best friend, and the tiny heartbeat that made our home feel whole.

Recently, Bean suddenly became very sick — completely lethargic, unresponsive, and clearly in pain. We rushed her to multiple vet offices, desperate for help, but were turned away because of financial constraints. It felt like we were running out of time and options.

That’s when we found an incredible veterinary hospital in Aquebogue, who did something most wouldn’t: they said yes. They welcomed Bean, saw her as the living soul she is, and agreed to work with us on pricing — because they truly care.

The diagnosis was heartbreaking: Bean was septic, and her chance of surviving the night was only 10–20%. The vet team told us they’d do everything they could to figure out what was going on and help her fight. They didn’t give up on her — and neither did we.

Today, we got some incredible news: Bean lifted her head and even ate this morning. From where we were just 24 hours ago, this feels like a miracle. She’s fighting. She’s trying. But she still has a long road to recovery.

Unfortunately, the financial burden is still weighing heavily on us. We’ve done everything we can — including taking out a CareCredit loan — but we’re still short on the remaining balance to continue Bean’s care and eventually bring her back home to heal.
