The lives of so many families across Los Angeles have been completely turned upside down by the recent surge in immigration enforcement. Our neighbors, friends, and loved ones are being torn from their homes, their jobs, and most painfully, from their families—leaving behind fear, heartbreak, and overwhelming uncertainty.

When a family member is taken, it’s not just an empty seat at the table—it’s lost income, lost security, and a family scrambling to figure out how to survive. Many of those arrested are fathers and husbands, often the primary breadwinners. The families left behind are now struggling to pay rent, buy groceries, cover medical bills, and find childcare, all while carrying the emotional weight of what’s just happened.

We’re legal aid providers here in Los Angeles, and we’re directly connected to many of these families impacted by the June 2025 ICE raids. Some are our clients. Others were referred to us through community partners and local coalitions. This fundraiser isn’t about one organization—it’s about all of us stepping up for the people who make up the heart of our city. That’s why we’re organizing this effort personally, outside of our workplaces, to make sure no family is excluded from help.

We’ve already been out in the community, delivering groceries, supplies, and emergency aid—but the need is so much bigger than what we can cover on our own. That’s where you come in.

Your donation will go directly to families who need urgent help with:

Rent and Utilities – Keeping families housed and their homes safe.

Groceries – Making sure no child goes hungry.

Emergency Expenses – Covering medical needs, childcare, transportation, and other urgent costs.

Every dollar goes straight into the hands of families through supply drops, gift cards, and cash aid.
