Hello Friends and family! As some of you may know, our sweet momma was diagnosed with Younger On-set Alzheimer's disease at the age of 48. The disease has progressed tremendously over the past 4+ years, and recently took a turn for the worst. On Sat. October 5th mom was rushed to the ER due to a sudden decline. After three days of being in the hospital, the doctors informed us that her quality of life was extremely poor at this point, and suggested we speak with Hospice. After much deliberation we made the difficult decision of doing In-Home Hospice Care for mom. She is comfortable and safe at home now, but in the past days has been unable to swallow and is at high risk for choking. We are keeping her medicated since she can not eat or drink, and hospice has given her a life expectancy of about 2 weeks, give or take. This has come as a shock to all of us and we thought we had more time, even with this fast progressing disease.
Once mom passes on, we want to be able to celebrate her life with her loved ones and all who's lives she touched, without any financial chains. Mom brought light to everyones lives and continued to bring laughter even through the hard moments. We wouldn't be the women we are today without her, and just want to honor who she was, to us, and to everyone. We know money can be tight at times, and its okay if all you can do it spread the word about our beautiful Mother. She deserved the world, but we will take what we can. Thank you so much for your support. #EndAlz #AlzheimersAwarness
