As of June 2023, I'll be attempting to hike some 3000 miles across Europe from Bath to Istanbul, and I would love for a project that I feel so passionately about to bring some good to others too. Having lost an uncle and both of my granddads all to very sudden heart attacks, I think it'd only be right to support a charity that supports medical research on heart disease. All three were much-loved family members, two of whom were taken very unexpectedly and never even made it into their sixties. Coronary heart disease is one of the single biggest killers in the world, with around 2000 families losing someone they love to the condition every single week in the UK alone. That is why I have chosen to try and raise funds for Heart Research UK.
I would be incredibly grateful for your generosity should you consider donating any amount whatsoever, and will personally thank anyone who does. The significance of the number 1,955 is that this is the most direct distance possible, in miles, that it'd take to hike from Bath to Istanbul.
