Help Z Relocate out of Toxic Living Environment

Hello everyone,

As many of you know, I have been dealing with a very unstable individual who has shown signs of aggression and cruelty that are progressively getting worse.

I have lived in this house since the Fall of 2023, and it has been a beautiful, peaceful experience until a particular individual moved in in July 2024. He moved in a few weeks after my mom passed away, so his introduction to me involved learning that information about me. A few days ago, he had one of his outbursts and mocked the fact that my mom was dead, all because I asked him why he threw his coats all over the couch.

I no longer feel safe living with someone who is so emotionally unstable and vicious. Unfortunately, I extended my lease a month ago because I failed to plan to move out even though parts of me wanted to. I was managing to deal with the stress of the house with this latest addition, but I realize that being in this sort of living arrangement has been extremely detrimental to my mental health, in addition to my being in early sobriety and grieving.

My best option to terminate the lease as soon as possible is to pay three times the rent, which is the point of this GoFundMe.

I am asking for a portion of what I owe because I must set aside money for a deposit and the first month's rent. I cannot live with this stress until October (when his lease ends), and I am frankly paranoid about what he could do next.

I feel powerless in this situation because I have been kind, respectful, tolerant, and patient with him. I can't even fathom talking to someone how he has spoken to me, let alone be so blatantly inconsiderate of a shared living space with five other people. I keep to myself and stay out of the way.

Unfortunately, I cannot afford to make this sort of emergency payment right now without some help.
