Hi my name is Nanette, and I have a very special family in need of our help. They normally are the first to give and the first to spot a need they can fulfill. It's time the wheels turn in their favor and let those blessings come back their way.

My sweet nephew, Charlie Miller, is a very active and fun loving, crazy smart, 15 yr old, who is sitting in the hospital now on his 5th day. He went into the ER with chest pain, a fever, and throwing up last Friday. The symptons had progressed over a few weeks time, but after the 2nd trip to the clinic they told my sister to get to the hospital.

After a grueling experience wrapped in tests, and what seems like an endless amount of poking, they still can not find the cause. They did alleviate some of the symptoms by draining 500 ml of fluid that had accumulated around his heart. Because of the risks involved, they left 300ml still in his chest in hope that the medication he is on will take care of the rest. I'm not sure what all the big words are of the condition, but I do know that every day and every test that is not giving answers creates stress of the unknown.

Good news is that he is being moved from ICU once a bed opens, but they are still on the hunt for the cause. He will remain on oxygen until his saturation status comes up on his own, buy he is definitely improving.

Since my brother works for himself they have only carried catastrophic health coverage due to the cost, but also because none of them have been unhealthy. This is the first big hit that any of them have had on their health, so the deductible alone is $5000, not to mention the 80/20 pay that applies to the remaining bill.

I know there is a lot of people, and organizations in our community, that have benefited from Kevin and Jennifer Miller's generosity over the years. Let's ban together to bless their family with some financial relief, extra prayers for Charlie's full recovery, and hope that the Dr.s can find out the cause.
