Help the Elcock Family After Garbage Truck Crash

Donation protected

On 9 December 2025, a council garbage truck crashed directly into the home of Brigette and Bryce Elcock, smashing through the wall of their baby’s room. Brigette, her baby and Brigette’s sister were all inside the house at the time. Thankfully none of them were in the room that was hit, but the force of the impact was so great that the entire front wall was pushed into the internal hallway. The home is now structurally unsafe and the family had to leave immediately.

Brigette and Bryce are a hard working young family who suddenly find themselves with nowhere to stay just days before Christmas. One moment they were inside their home and the next they were standing outside in shock looking at the destroyed room where their baby normally sleeps and a house they can no longer enter. They are now focused on keeping their child safe while dealing with the uncertainty of what comes next.

The council investigation will take time and the family needs support now. This fundraiser will help them cover temporary accommodation, essential baby items, clothes, food and urgent living costs while they navigate the formal process.

No family imagines something like this could ever happen in their own home. If you are able to give anything at all, it will provide stability and dignity to Brigette, Bryce and their baby during an incredibly stressful time. Your support will make a very real difference.

Thank you for standing with them.
