We Love Joe! And we hate Cancer.

UPDATE:

We are devastated to share that our beloved Joe passed away last night. We are thankful that he did so peacefully, at home with family. Thank you so much to everyone for the incredible love and support we've received. We are so lucky to have such wonderful friends and family. Your generosity is already being such a huge help. We'll be able to pay some of the medical and emergency expenses, and hopefully also some of the expenses for Joe's final arrangements. When we have information on the memorial, we will share. It will be sometime later on this fall. Sending love and thanks to you all.

Our beloved Joe Spinetti was diagnosed with pulmonary fibrosis and lung cancer, and he has been fighting it all with bravery, a sense of humor, and his trademark stubbornness! :) This has been a tough time for him and his family, with everyone having to cut back on work, making daily drives from Jewett to Albany for radiation and chemo, those shockingly high co-pays, and all the complications and expenses that come with the cancer experience. Plus you know, a major car repair, a flooded bathroom and a leaky ceiling just thrown in for good measure.

Last week was especially tough, as Joe contracted pneumonia and had to be admitted to the hospital. This week, we're so lucky to have Joe out of the ICU and back at home, surrounded by loving family and of course his devoted dog Wooly. All support will go directly to Joe and his wife Anna to help pay for medical and emergency expenses.
