Hello all, it's been a while since I've posted on here to give an update. Most people have been following along with my mom & our families journey this past year. It has been so so so hard. Especially me doing everything on her behalf. In August, she had a stroke and was life flighted to Fargo here and was in the ICU and eventually got to go home 3 weeks later and was doing great. About a month later she was having some symptoms of possibly stroke/seizure activity again. She was hospitalized for a couple of weeks and having active seizures while hooked up to an EEG for a week. Her right side has some weakness. After getting to go home orders are to not use an oven or stovetop by herself. I have been having a few people help out, but I'm in hopes that this will help even more as it is a very hard and stressful time. If anyone have any questions, please feel free to reach out to me. Venmo is still an option as GoFundMe takes a percentage of proceeds along with direct donations, etc., if you are wanting to help out.
Hello all, it's been quite a while since I've given an update on Tracy. We've had some bumps in the road since this past winter and her seizure, but overall trying to get things on the right path. Tracy has been doing speech therapy and occupational therapy as well. Trying to live somewhat a normal life, even though it's a long road to recovery. I (Madison) have still been working on trying to do everything to help and get things set up for appointments, therapy, etc. Friday August 11th, my mom had been not acting herself. She was very off balance and confused. We had our neighbor and family friend go and check on her and the kids. At this time I was working at my part-time serving job as this was all happening. They thought she needed to go in. It took her and my younger sister to get my mom into the car and she wasn't very with it. Tracy was admitted into First Care in Park River around 7pm. First thing they thought was she was having/had a stoke. CT scans were performed along with labs. After talking to the provider she said it is in internal bleed in her brain. This is something that is too complex for a small town hospital to be taking care of, so she said Fargo was going to come via life flight. This way something that was very hard to hear as at this point it's almost 8pm and I left my job in the middle of the shift on a busy Friday night. Tracy was intubated before leaving Park River and is still currently on a ventilator. She is in the ICU here in Fargo. I have been to the hospital numerous times and they are trying to get her weaned off of the ventilator and having her breathe on her own, but she is struggling. Yesterday she wasn't awake at all. She listened and would hear you, but didn't have her eyes open and couldn't follow commands. Today she was able to follow a couple and had her eyes opened some, but not much. Her chemo treatments are almost done, and she just had an MRI done on Thursday where everything looked good with no changes. This had been very hard on myself, my siblings and everyone in our lives. I am going to be reposting the GoFundMe as if anyone is able to help it would be much appreciated during these hard times. I will be out of work myself, to be able to make decisions and be at the hospital by my mom's side. You can also Venmo myself where I can transfer it to my mom as GoFundMe does take a percentage of donations taken out, which a lot of people do not like. We are just taking it day by day at this time as it is a very hard time for our family.

Tracy has been battling Stage 4 Lung Cancer for a few years now. For a while everything has been stagnant while continuing on getting treatments. At around 4pm on Tuesday Tracy’s co-workers noticed she wasn’t acting herself. They called the ambulance and rushed her to the ER in Park River at the time. The doctors did some tests and scans and found a mass on her brain that has more than likely spread from the lungs. Tracy was transported to Fargo Tuesday evening. An MRI was done and a tumor was found on the left side of her brain. This is affecting her ability to speak, think and make decisions. Her daughter Madison has been there with her everyday. Surgery is scheduled for Tuesday at this time to remove the tumor and Tracy will then be in the ICU for hopefully only a few days. Afterwards radiation will be scheduled to kill anything leftover from surgery and intensive speech therapy will be needed. Recovery time is thinking minimum of three months, but all depends on how the process goes.
