Support Luz's Fight Against Breast Cancer

Our best friend, Luz Cabrera, is facing a tough fight against breast cancer, and we’re doing everything we can to support her. As two of her closest friends, we’re asking for your help to ease the financial burden of her treatment and care.

Luz, or as she’s been known to us since high school, Gibby, was diagnosed with aggressive invasive mammary adenocarcinoma ductal/Grade III on December 5th, 2024. She is only 31 years old and has just started a new job in mid-August, so she is not eligible for FMLA and there is a huge possibility that she will not have a job to return to after recovery/treatments.

Luz has started her breast cancer journey and has just undergone surgery to remove the tumor. After the tumor is analyzed for Oncotyping, stage of cancer will be determined and more details will be available for next steps regarding chemotherapy and radiation.

Luz is an amazing person who’s always been there for all of us. Now, it’s our turn to be there for her as she endures one of the hardest journeys she’s ever going to encounter. Any donation, no matter how small, will make a huge difference.
