Help Me Make My First Film

Hi, my name is Michelle Addison and I wrote a short film and am producing and acting in it this spring.

I wrote an important story about motherhood, repairing the past and healing as we parent. This is a story that I think deserves to be told. I think we can all find something to relate to when we are triggered by our own trauma when parenting. What is ours? What is theirs?

As a mother of a teen, I hope to make something that will resonate for women, parents, and anyone who has ever been a teen. To help make people feel less alone. To bring art and light to our darkest pain.

The script is 14 pages and it will end up as a 10-12 min film and I am going to play the lead character Ellen. I am going to enter it into film festivals for 2024/2025.

Money raised will go directly to those working on the film, camera equipment, rentals, locations, cast + crew, post production and festival entry fees. As this is an ultra-low budget film we hope to make it as economical as possible.

The film will shoot in 4 days and I will be using my own home for as many locations as possible.

I have Alex Caulfield an incredibly accomplished director who recently has completed their first feature staring Mena Suvari. I am looking forward to being directed by them and seeing how their vision makes this film come to life.

Kiarra Hamagami Goldberg is one of our producers. She is a actress, director and producer and is set to direct her first feature this summer in NYC.

Micah Kelpin is one of our producers. She is a Canadian actress and has well over 20 production credits behind the scenes. She joins our team with a solid foundation in the mechanics of storytelling.

Our tentative shoot dates are mid-April.
