The Story

In The End takes place in a flower shop and follows the character of Nora. Stricken with grief, she is buying flowers for her aunt's funeral when she gets an awful warning... A nuclear warhead is inbound and will strike the city in fifteen minutes. Nora, with the help of Remi; the flower store manager, must confront her grief in the face of the inevitable before coming to a story twisting revelation.

Shooting for this project will begin in early March 2026 and before then we're looking to raise £3000 to produce the project. That money will be split between: Props, Locations, Actors, Travel, & Promotion.

A Note from the Director

The original concept for In the End first occurred to me at the end of 2023, following the loss of a close friend. His passing was sudden and devastating, for me, and all those who knew him. I was able to book a last minute flight to attend his funeral, but the majority of my grief was faced in the months that followed. It was a tumultuous time, and to save myself from the heartache of grieving alone, thousands of miles from my loved ones, I turned to writing. Nora’s story has had many iterations, just as my own journey has, but the film which has resulted is an honest reflection of what it’s like to grieve alone - and why that is a colossally stupid idea. Grief is a communal experience, and had it not been for the Remis in my life, who supported me even from a distance, I wouldn’t

have reached the place of peace I am at now.

To all the Nora’s out there, remember that there is always a pair of arms for you to fall into.

The themes of grief and loss are important and personal to all of us and we hope this film will resonate with our audience for the same reason. Ella, our Writer & Director , originally crafted this story after experiencing loss in her life. The idea was so powerful & reflected our own experiences so much that we got together to create this film. We hope we can make you feel the same way. Now, who are we?

The Crew

Ella - Director & Writer, Ella initially had the idea for this project and created the script. Her job is to help find the right actors for her roles and guide them on set to realise her vision.

Jake - Producer, My role is to manage the production. This includes: Location management, managing legal documents, budgeting, scheduling auditions, managing fundraising, catering & and crew management, and ensuring a safe workspace for cast and crew during production.

Jack - Assistant Director, Jack will be managing the cast and crew while also being responsible for time-keeping and scheduling.

Paige - Director of Photography, Paige will be responsible for operating the camera, setting up shots, creating lighting schemes, making sure the visuals align with Ella’s vision.

Kira - Director of Art & Social media manager, Kira will be dressing the sets to create the right atmosphere for the film as well as creating artwork for the project in the form of posters & merchandise. She will also be managing our several social media pages and working with the rest of us to create content for them.

Quinn - Sound recordist & Designer, Quinn will be recording all audio on set, making sure that we get high quality audio. She will also be designing the score for the film and working with Eryn in the edit to implement it.

Eryn - Editor & DIT, Eryn's job is to ensure continuity during the shoot and work with Ella to ensure we have the right shots and enough footage for the edit. Once production is complete He will then edit the visuals for the project.
