Community Defibrillator

£400 raised of £400

After 6 years in the ambulance service and now moving into the Drug and Alcohol support field I have had many occasions where I've attended a cardiac arrest and realised the closest Defibrillator is nowhere close by...I have also personally supported several people in my own village with the local community Defibrillators over the last year but I believe that 2 across a population of nearly 5 thousand in my village and indeed across the UK there is just not enough coverage .
Using the company Pulse4All my intention is to pay for The Defibrillator monthly plan meaning I will have access to a Defibrillator in my car 24/7 to support my village , my workplace and anywhere we go and they will service , support and replace any part of the Defibrillator for me.
The plan is £31.95 a month so I'm hoping to raise £383.4 / £400 to continue to provide a Defibrillator for the next year at least.
- Some info for those who have read this far! That is a leading reason I am trying to support and get this sorted!-
1. Survival rates fall by 10% with every minute without CPR or defibrillation
2. Fewer than 1 in 10 people survive an out-of-hospital cardiac arrest
3. Using a defibrillator within 3–5 minutes can increase survival rates to 50–70%
-- I am NOT funding this for a NHS Trust , Ambulance service or Charity . this is a personal decision to attempt to personally carry a AED to support my local community when they need it most --
