Hi, I'm Warren, Ronda's partner. We need some help with saving our house.

It’s not just any house. For the last 49 years it has been Ronda's home, her soul, and for the last 43 years, a home we share. It's become a part of our lives. We're intimately tied to it, to this place. Living here is in our veins, as she is in mine. And so, this appeal.

This lifeline is at risk. Loss of the house has recently become a serious possibility if certain payments are delinquent and certain conditions related to living here are not promptly addressed. We're at a crossroads.

In and of themselves, these responsibilities are not an issue. For the last 10 years, although difficult, meeting them has always been possible. We've always managed, sometimes with assistance from family and friends.

This year is different. Age has snuck up on us. We're now 81. Over the past several years, the Covid pandemic lockdown, bouts with Covid itself, other health and age-related issues, declining income due in part to age, and sharp increases in basic expenses have left their mark and made it increasingly hard at this time to pull it all together, to make ends meet and gain enough traction to move forward.

Few options remain for closing the gap. And so, crowdfunding has become a viable alternative, perhaps until other sources of income can be created and expenses further reduced or eliminated.

The estimated total amount needed to buy breathing room for three months - avoid defaults, pay basic utility, grocery, and health-related expenses, and avoid loss of the house until alternate income sources can be found, is $11,500 total, the goal of this GoFundMe campaign. This breaks down to $3600 by April 14th, and $5400 by May 1st, with the balance reached by May 15th.
