Family in Need

Our brother, Michael McCruden, and his family are in dire need of help during this holiday season. Michael proposed to his long-time girlfriend, Gretchen, last week and they were so excited to start this new chapter of their life together. Mike and Gretchen take care of five children - Michael's daughter, who lost her mother a few years ago, Gretchen's two sons, and two other little boys whose mother abandoned them. 

On Friday morning, Michael had a serious stroke and is now partially paralyzed on his left side. He has a large blood clot near his brain stem as well as an arterial tear near the clot. A high-risk surgery is being considered by a group of neurologists today but the outcome is questionable as are the long-term effects of the stroke and the damage it has caused. 

Michael has a long road to recovery ahead of him. He is a self-employed mechanic and has no employees to take over for him. We don't want Michael and his family to lose everything as a result of this horrible event. We are asking for family and friends to help in any way they can so that Michael and Gretchen can get through this the best way possible.
