Our names are Anitha and Sushanth from San Mateo reaching out for help for our beloved cat Zoro. Thank you for taking a moment to read our story.

Our family is struggling with Zoro's ongoing health issues and the related medical expenses. Zoro is an adorably friendly and lovable tabby cat. He's the best high-five and cuddle giver ever, and sleeps cozy next to us every night.

All was well until a month and a half ago when he started limping and it turned out to be an aggressive bite ( probably a feral animal ). We took him to the vet and learned that he had an abscess that needed to be drained. What started as an injury steadily deteriorated - Zoro's health constantly declined, and his tissue cells started dying. He has needed multiple debridements and is now hooked to a home VAC machine. Our doctor anticipates at least 2 visits per week in the coming days for atleast 3 more weeks.

We quickly ran out of savings and had to borrow money to afford $20,000+ medical expenses over the last month. We need help to pay back our friends and to afford further care, which the doctor estimates will be an additional $10,000 that includes skin flap/grafting (hopefully this is the last major suregery that he has to go thru), debridements and 2 - 3 bandage changes .

Any donated money will be used to repay loans and afford Zoro's healthcare. We will close the fundraiser if we reach our goal of $25,000. Any amount you're able to contribute is greatly appreciated.
