Zori's International Cookbook of Gratitude

In loving memory of my gorgeous daughter, Emily Marina Patel, who I adoringly call Emzily Bemzily Extraordinarily.

My name is Zorica Patel and I am a Senior Lecturer at the Westminster Business School, where I teach university students how to apply the tools of Positive Psychology. I have friends scattered all over the world, and during the global lockdowns I wanted to reconnect with friends, whilst simulatenously creating restaurant quality meals for my family (my daughter Emily and son Oliver), when we couldn't dine out! Preparing the recipes that I asked my friends and family members to provide me with made me think of them and imagine that we were together at the dining table – eating and drinking, chatting and relaxing, despite the gloominess of Covid-19. This Cookbook is also my way of expressing gratitude to my friends and family, for everything they have done for me over the years.

The International Cookbook of Gratitude features 151 recipes from 53 contributors, from across the globe, including Serbia, Cambodia, India, Jamaica, Hungary and beyond. I hope you will enjoy it. Prijatno! Bon appetit! Good appetite!

Savanna Bunney is the wonderful artist who worked on the book with me. Her work can be found on Instagram: @sketchbook.sav

I am raising money in aid of YoungMinds Trust and every donation will be hugely appreciated. YoungMinds Trust is the UK’s leading charity fighting for children and young people's mental health. Their mission is to make sure all young people can get the mental health support they need, when they need it, no matter what. Please see the YoundMinds website for more information about the fantastic work they do: https://www.youngminds.org.uk

Each individual who donates will receive a PDF copy of the International Cookbook of Gratitude.  If you choose to donate anonymously, or you have not received a copy from us within 5 days of donating, please contact the Gmail address in the cover image (with proof of donation) and we will send you a copy.

We kindly suggest a minimum donation of £20.

By donating, you are simultaneously contributing to improving the lives of young people, and purchasing a beautiful cookbook, with over 150 recipes from all over the world. Once you begin making some of the recipes, it would be great if you could share fun pictures, reviews and stories with us by emailing the Gmail address in the cover image.

Thank you for your support!
