Hello my name is vanessa and this little beauty is Azula ZOO for short a 7 year old dobermann this brave little soul has had a very rough time it all happened in december when she lost the use of her legs and was rushed to hospital 3 hrs away mri tests found that an unknown infection that had travelled to her spinal cord and compressed round it she spent 3 weeks with mri and spinal surgery and spine taps to find the source she is home now and has had afew infections since that we have had to deal with the spinal surgery was supposed to get her back on her feet the odds were good but unfortunately due to our vets failure to do tests when needed this delayed the surgery and locating the right antibiotics for the infection leaving Zoo fighting infections with antibiotics for over 3 months two types costing over 1000 pounds a month ontop of 15000 surgery costs the odds were good but unfortunately now time has passed leaving Zoo still paralysed on both back legs the reason for this fundraiser is Zoo needs 24 hr care this has left her incontinent too the funds raised will go towards upkeep of her wheels as she has already broke 4 harnesses leg straps and pins and screws I would like to buy her a push chair stroller so she does not have to be in her wheels all the time but can enjoy being outside and the ongoing costs of buying puppy pads we get through 200 a week .nappies wipes plastic gloves plastic bin bags shampoos creams to ensure she does not get pressure sores waterproof bedding mattress protectors and towards the cleaning and sanitiseing of all bedding and equipment I do ensure she has plenty of play time she spends 1hr to 2hrs outside 4 times a day her bedding is changed 6 times or more a day all has to be washed and sanitiser any little helps even if its 50p towards a boredom treat like a juicy pigs ear her fave I can not thank you enough even if its just for reading and understanding of the needs of a paralysed dog and seeing the pictures of her playing with her little boy who keeps her going thank you from the bottom of my heart ❤️
