Hi there, my name is Allie. I adopted Zola early April of this year, she's now 8 months old. She has been a wonderful addition to our family. She is a sweet, adventurous, loving little girl and she just loves to be loved. Belly rubs, forehead kisses, cuddles with our other dog and backyard frisbee are her favorite things, also ice cubes. I always said we got so lucky with her because she was just an easy pup, she got along well with our other dog and was always so happy and content doing whatever we were doing. I work from home and she would sit on the chair right next to me all day long wiggling around, chewing on her toys and snoring on her back with her paws in the air.

She was admitted to the Animal ER Tuesday night after throwing up all day. They think she could have eaten a poisonous mushroom in the backyard.  After x-rays, and numerous tests, vets have determined she has severe hemorrhagic gastroenteritis.  At this point the vets have determined she should be hospitalized a few more days with the hope of continued improvements.

As of yesterday morning she has remained on fluids and antibiotics with minor improvements. She was wagging her tail when the vet opened her crate and stood on both feet! She is still weak and lethargic but her personality is starting to show again. This is a major improvement from not getting off the floor of the crate for two days, vomiting/ with bloody stool.

There is hope for her to recover she just needs more time and unfortunately that is extremely expensive. I started this gofundme with hopes to raise money to help fund some of zolas care and not have to surrender her to the shelter.

Zola deserves so much more than I can give her right now. If you are able to help in anyway it would be so so appreciated. Thank you!
