Help Bring My Mother Zoila Home: Support for Funeral and Transportation Expenses

Losing a loved one is one of the hardest experiences anyone can face, and when that loss happens far from home, it brings even more challenges and heartache.

Today, I’m reaching out to ask for your help and support for me and my family as we navigate through this incredibly painful time.

It is with a heavy heart that I share the passing of my beautiful mother, Zoila, a woman of incredible strength, sweetness, and resilience.

My mother had been silently battling kidney failure, a difficult illness that gradually affected her body. At first, the symptoms were manageable, but over time, her condition worsened. Despite treatments and her unwavering strength, her kidneys could no longer filter toxins, which led to liver failure and placed tremendous strain on her heart.

Every day was a battle for her, filled with moments of hope, pain, and incredible bravery. Even as her body grew weaker, her spirit remained bright, fuelled by the love and support of her family and friends.

Now, my family and I are facing the overwhelming task of covering funeral costs and arranging the transportation of her body back to her homeland, the Dominican Republic, where she wished to rest surrounded by her loved ones.

We hope to raise $30,000 CAD to help cover these expenses. Any donation, no matter the amount, would mean the world to us. Your support will help us honour my mother’s memory and fulfill her final wish to return home.

Ayuda a Llevar a Mi Madre Zoila a Casa: Apoyo para los Gastos Funerarios y de Transporte

Perder a un ser querido es una de las experiencias más difíciles que alguien puede enfrentar, y cuando esa pérdida ocurre lejos de casa, trae aún más desafíos y dolor.

Hoy, me estoy acercando para pedir su ayuda y apoyo para mí y mi familia mientras navegamos por este momento tan doloroso.

Es con el corazón lleno de tristeza que comparto el fallecimiento de mi hermosa madre, Zoila, una mujer de increíble fortaleza, dulzura y resistencia.

Mi madre había estado luchando en silencio contra la insuficiencia renal, una enfermedad difícil que gradualmente afectó su cuerpo. Al principio, los síntomas eran manejables, pero con el tiempo, su condición empeoró. A pesar de los tratamientos y su fortaleza inquebrantable, sus riñones ya no podían filtrar las toxinas, lo que llevó a un fallo hepático y puso una tremenda presión sobre su corazón.

Cada día era una batalla para ella, llena de momentos de esperanza, dolor y valentía increíble. Incluso cuando su cuerpo se debilitaba, su espíritu permaneció brillante, alimentado por el amor y apoyo de su familia y amigos.

Ahora, mi familia y yo enfrentamos la abrumadora tarea de cubrir los costos funerarios y organizar el transporte de su cuerpo de regreso a su tierra natal, la República Dominicana, donde ella deseaba descansar rodeada de sus seres queridos.

Esperamos recaudar $30,000 CAD para ayudar a cubrir estos gastos. Cualquier donación, sin importar la cantidad, significaría el mundo para nosotros. Su apoyo nos ayudará a honrar la memoria de mi madre y a cumplir su último deseo: regresar a casa.
