Prayers Love and Support for Zoey
Our beautiful Warrior Princess Zoey was just 8 years old and such a smiley, happy-go lucky little girl. Zoey was loved so much by all her family, and her friends.
She fought so hard her entire 8 years of life, she never gave up. Zoey had a rare condition known as Aicardi Syndrome. She had a Hemispherectomy on July 25, 2013 at Johns Hopkins Hospital. At this point she was having 300 seizures a day. Zoey needed a shunt placed due to Hydrocephalus shortly after her Hemispherectomy surgery. Unfortunately a Hemispherectomy surgery can complicate how well shunts work. Over the years the change in Zoey’s CSF, has gotten more proteinasous, and has continued to complicate the long-term shunt effectiveness. After 2 shunt malfunctions 5 brain surgeries within a 2 month time frame due to extremely high protein in her CSF fluid the doctors couldn’t do much more for Zoey.
Zoey was brought home on Monday September 21, 2020 with hospice so she could spend the remainder of her days with her family by her side.
Our Sweet little Warrior Princess Zoey gained her angel wings at 1:23pm Sunday September 27, 2020 She passed very peaceful with her family by her side.
