Help Zoey Fight Lymphoma – Our Brave Girl Needs Your Support
Hi everyone,
My name is Matt and I’m reaching out with a heavy heart to ask for help for my beloved cat, Zoey. She is just 4 years old — still a young, sweet soul — and has been recently diagnosed with lymphoma, a form of cancer that is attacking her lymphatic system and causing dangerous fluid buildup around her lungs.
Over the past couple of weeks, Zoey began showing signs that something wasn’t right — vomiting, sneezing, hiding, and losing her appetite. Her energy faded, and she was no longer the playful, curious girl we know and love. We rushed her to the vet, where blood tests, x-rays, and an emergency chest tap (thoracocentesis) revealed fluid in her chest and suspicious masses in her mediastinum. A sample of her lymph node confirmed our worst fear: Zoey has cancer.
She is now battling lymphoma, and the cancer is progressing quickly. She recently had to go back to the emergency room because the fluid returned to her chest within days, making it hard for her to breathe. Watching her struggle has been heartbreaking. Despite everything, Zoey still purrs when she’s held. She wants to fight — and so do we.
But we can’t do this alone.
What We’re Facing:
• Emergency visits and procedures to drain fluid from her lungs
• Ongoing vet care, including imaging, bloodwork, and medications
• Possible chemotherapy or steroid treatment to slow the cancer and give her more time
• Additional testing to determine the exact type of lymphoma and the best treatment plan
These costs are quickly adding up, and as much as we want to give Zoey the best possible chance, we are struggling to cover the expenses on our own.
Why Zoey Deserves a Chance
Zoey isn’t just a pet — she’s family. She’s a gentle, affectionate cat who has been by my side through life’s ups and downs. Her favorite thing is curling up next to us on the couch, kneading her little paws and giving slow blinks that melt our hearts.
She deserves more time. More naps in the sun. More cuddles. More life.
