Hi I'm Zoey, your friendly neighbourhood transgirl and I am asking for some help.

With the NHS waiting lists for a first appointment to even start HRT, it just seems unreasonable that I'd be able to get this kind of affirming care through the NHS.

I've been waiting for 6 years for a first appointment for Nottingham GIC. The doctors even lost my referral to the GIC twice. So for the last 2 years I've been funding everything in my transition myself.

However with the realisation that I want to get "the surgery" trying to be able to scrimp and save enough to afford this kind of thing just seems like a goal that will forever be out of reach.

I've never quite known to what extent I wanted my transition to be, whether to keep my princess wand or not. I'm not going to lie and say I've always wanted this but I've always gotten a massive wave of euphoria whenever I thought about it for myself. Since firmly deciding that this is what I want, I've never been more certain on wanting to do anything more in my life.

Whilst I may miss the princess wand (probably Stockholm Syndrome at this point tbh), if the Dead Money DLC in Fallout New Vegas has taught me anything, the hardest part is letting go.

(Except the gold at the end, I'm taking it all every time...maybe I missed the point)

If you decide to donate, I will be using the money to go towards GRS in Thailand. It will cover not only the surgery itself but travel and accommodation as I'll need to stay there for a minimum of 2 weeks for recovery.

I’ve contacted the hospital and have been informed that my total treatment is going to be £16000

I know the goal is massive but I would also like to add reassurance that I will also be still saving for this too as I don't want anyone to think I'm asking without putting in effort myself.

Whilst I do feel bad about being given something without having anything to offer anything in return, this reassurance from me that it's not one sided is the least I can do.
