Zoey’s Final Birthday Gift

Today was a very tough day for our family. Zoey’s cancer has come back and she had to undergo emergency surgery in New Orleans to have her spleen removed as a mass had developed on it and her spleen had ruptured. She will remain in the care of MedVet NOLA for at least the next 48 hours. We are hoping to bring her home to Pensacola Friday evening where she will continue to rest and heal from the surgery. She will then begin chemo and radiation therapy at Auburn. We’ve unfortunately been told that we should expect to say goodbye to our Zoey in the next 3-9 months

Shasta and I have a very hard time asking for help of any kind, but we will do anything for our Zoey. Today cost us almost $7,000 and her future treatments will also be quite expensive.

Zoey turned 12 years old last week, so we are asking those that can help to please contribute any donation amount towards Zoey’s treatment and care as a gift on her final birthday
