Help Zoey Smile Again
Donation protected
As many of you know, Zoey was attacked by a pitbull several weeks ago while on a walk with McKel in our neighborhood. She was initally injured with a bad bite to the leg with some pieces of bone broken off, a puncture through her lower jaw, and her dew claw ripped off.
After a couple weeks of recovery, she was still limping pretty bad on her back leg. We took her to the vet and it ends up she needs to get surgery for torn ligaments.
The unfortunate thing about the situation is that the neighbors who owned the dog moved out of town and have paid NONE of the vet bills which are amounting to $4,000. As it would for anyone, this has been very hard on us financially, especially in the wake of my recent unemployment.
It has been said that "it takes a village to raise a child". Now I ask my community of friends and family to help us with our child, Zoey. I have set this up as a way to help cover some of the cost of the inital vet bills and the surgery.
If you feel inclined to help, we thank you tremendously. To anyone who donates you will receive a personal thank you letter from Zoey. For those who cannot help financially, that is not a problem. Well wishes, thoughts, prayers and even stories of Zobot are appreciated just as much.
Thank you to those who have already helped out and thank you for taking the time to read this. Please include your email when donating so I can stay in touch with you on Zoey's recovery. Zoey has had a signifcant impact in my life and in many of yours and we know she will make it through this to come back as that happy puppy we all have come to love.
