I’m sitting here trying to find the words to tell our story. But all I can do is cry. My dog, ZOE needs surgery… she has a Right axillary subcutaneous epithelial tumor, size 7CM X 15CM. Almost the size of a grapefruit. The type of epithelial tumor and whether it is benign or malignant cannot be determine without surgery. Because of the size and location of the tumor she needs special surgery to know if it is cancerous and if it has spread anywhere else and that comes at an exorbitant cost.
Some people tell me that she’s just a dog. But not for me. She’s MY dog and she’s helped me through so much in life, more than any human as ever been able to. If I’m still here today it’s because of her. Living on my own, she’s what I go home to.
She’s my motivation to get up and go run every single day, a shoulder to cry on, my therapy! She’s always by my side and I’m just not ready to start thinking about losing her. We still have too many adventures to go on together!
A lot of my friends suggested I start a GoFundMe account… I never thought asking for help would be so hard. But I’m willing to try anything. Thank you for anyone who help out. It means the world to me.
